When eating poached eggs on toast and you put the knife in?

I never put the knife in. I do 2 pieces of toast and put the poached egg on one, then cut the other piece into triangles, and proceed to dip the end of the triangle into the yolk. If I have managed a perfect specimen I do feel a bit guilty for bursting it, but I never imagine it is someones eye. I will now though, so thanks! ;-))
