Is Nikon pronounced 'knee-Kon' or 'Neye-kon'? I just heard on a commercial for Nikon pronounced like KNEE-con

There was a commercial on CNN before a video and it pronounced what I thought was N(eye)-con pronounced like Knee-con... ooops... lol I have a Nikon D80 and I must be sounding really clever when I've been pronouncing it wrong... lol anyone know? I'm pretty sure it's the way the company had it pronounced, lol. woops.
