Those verbatim USB drives with built in security, can they be completely erase?

I have a 2 gig drive and I set up 128Mb of easy access while the rest I have to put in a pword, but that built in software does not work anymore, I don't mind losing the data. I want to be able to use all the 2 gigs of the USB drive
